Visia Facial Analysis

Presented by Canfield Imaging Systems, VISIA is a sophisticated computer imaging system that evaluates the condition of the skin on your face, measuring pigmentation, UV damage and aging spots, red spots, texture, wrinkles and pores. It can also be used to analyze rosacea, spider veins, melasma and porphyrins. The latter measuring the presence of acne producing bacteria.

VISIA has revolutionized the field of skin rejuvenation. When doctors had to rely on subjective assessments before, they now have access to photos and a personalized report that allows them to develop an effective and appropriate treatment program for the type and problem of the patient's skin.

How does it work?

VISIA begins with digital photos and multispectral images of the face from all angles. The surface of the skin and the subcutaneous layer are analyzed and the full report identifies the most serious problems, areas where there is room for improvement or that could deteriorate in the future.

VISIA also compares your skin with that of other patients of the same age and skin type and can be programmed to simulate the aging process, showing how your skin will look in five to seven years.

Once you have decided to follow a treatment, VISIA can be used to monitor your progress after each session and to show improvements in the appearance of your skin over time.
